Emergencies, water you cannot stop, no heating in cold weather, a drain backing up into the house, should be marked as such in the message; they are prioritised over routine bookings.

What happens next

You get a call back to arrange the visit. Small jobs are priced on that call from your description; larger ones get a survey and a written proposal. Nothing starts until the price is agreed.
