What the name means
The 247 in the name is a statement of when requests are taken: emergency enquiries can be sent at any hour and the call back is prioritised for the ones that cannot wait. It is not a promise about how fast a van can be on a drive in Diss at three in the morning, because nobody can honestly make that promise. What can be promised is that the form is read, the urgent ones go first, and you are told what to do to make the house safe in the meantime.
How the work is organised
The fifteen services fall into four groups: plumbing and leaks, boilers and gas, heating systems, and bathrooms, cylinders and drains. Each has its own page on the services directory, written to explain what the job involves before you book it, what it usually turns out to be, and the questions people ask first. The pages are meant to be useful even if you never send the form.
Gas work, which covers boilers, gas safety certificates and anything on the gas side of a heating system, is carried out by a registered gas engineer, as UK law requires. Electrical work in bathrooms and heating controls is certified by a qualified electrician. Unvented cylinders are installed and serviced by someone holding the qualification the regulations demand. None of that is a marketing claim; it is the minimum the law allows, and it is stated here so you know it is understood.
